Current NPSIANs, staff and alumnus gathered to share some holiday cheer at the HUB Ottawa Thursday night. In a true showing of their creativity and ingenuity the NPSIANs have transformed the cookie decorating art scene in innovative and amazing ways, including taking cookie design into 3D… with a very special 3D Gingerbread Christmas Tree!
Bragging rights aplenty were granted by NPSIA Director Dane Rowlands to the most industrious and creative among the crowd, while others ate away at their disappointment with candy decorations and washed the sour taste of defeat away with coffee and delicious apple cider. Amongst the happy mingling NPSIANs smiles and laughs were shared, cavities developed and friendships were both formed and renewed.
Other highlights included an announcement by the Co-Chairs of the Soiree Committee regarding the identity of this year’s guest speaker and selected charity… an official post with details to follow! Equally exciting news from Trevor and Diane of the Academic Committee as they announced the return and official kick-off of the Alumni Lunch Series! All in all, an exciting sneak peek into the term ahead!
Despite this being such a busy time of year it was a packed house and much fun was had by all. A special thank you to Lisa Mallin, Kyle Gervais and the Students’ Association Executive for bringing this wonderful event… and us, to life this holiday season!
