A Premier Event at the Château Laurier
An Ottawa tradition…
The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) invites you to join us for our annual Soirée gala dinner.
We will be welcoming global humanitarian and former president of Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) Dr. James Orbinski as our keynote speaker. Dr. Orbinski, who accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of MSF’s role in Rwanda, will be delivering a timely speech titled, “Considerations on Ebola and Us”.
The Soirée will be held on Friday, March 6th at the historic Fairmont Château Laurier in downtown Ottawa.
A delightful mutli-course dinner will be served, and guests will have the chance to mingle with colleagues, faculty & students of NPSIA, diplomats, public figures and so on.
If you are a business interested in supporting the Soirée and its cause (Dignitas International), we invite to you consider our sponsorship opportunities.
More event information will be coming soon. Please check back (or follow us on Facebook) for frequent updates.
We look forward to having you join us!

At the Benefit Soiree of 2013, we were honoured to host the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean as our keynote speaker. An award-winning journalist and former Italian professor, she served as the 27th Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada. Currently, Madame Jean is Co-Chair and Co-Founder with her husband, Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond, of the Michaëlle Jean Foundation. She is also the UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti and Chancellor of the University of Ottawa.
All proceeds from this year’s Soirée Benefit went to the Fondation Michaëlle Jean Foundation (FMJF), which works to empower youth across Canada to use the arts to transform disenfranchised communities.
